Description
The fruit of the Nagasaki Wase variety of Loquat ripen in Winter to Spring. They are oval, deep yellow or orange coloured, and may have a pink blush. The fruit size is like a plum, about 40 mm in diameter. The velvety skin is thin and edible. Each fruit contains 1-2 large brown inedible seeds. The flesh may be orange or white, with a texture like apples. The flavour is slightly acid, and tasty, reminding you of a mixture of other fruits.
