Growing conditions: Patchouli is an evergreen herb with bushy upright shape, growing to about 20cm tall. It loves a warm, subtropical or tropical climate and hot weather but not too much direct sun. It needs plenty of water.
Uses: Patchouli is used to produce the strongly aromatic essential oil used in perfume, in incense, and to repel insects. The oil is extracted using steam distillation.
