Fruit description: Pitomba fruit are like a cherry. When ripe they have a thin golden skin, soft golden pulp, and 1 small inedible seed. Pitomba have a sweet, aromatic flavour.
Flowers: The flowers are abundant, fragrant, white, with 4 petals and fluffy stamens.
Growing conditions: Pitomba are a small bush, with olive-like silvery leaves. They can tolerate frost to minus 1 celcius, and also can grow in warm, subtropical and tropical climates. They can be grown in the shade or in the sun, in lightly moist conditions. They are suitable for growing in pots.
Uses: Eat fresh, or use in jams, sauces
